The site is run as an Activity Centre and Eco-camping, The facilities include:-

This the main house is a 250 year old stone farmhouse which has been carefully renovated using traditional techniques and material (lime and clay, terra cotta).

This is used as an additional camping area, it is conifer woodland leading down to a stream.

 

On the site (designed using Permaculture) we have a 1 kilowatt windturbine giving us 240 volts ac. Grey water treatment beds, biogas unit and solar water heating. Heating during the colder months is provided by woodburning stoves, the wood consumed is produced on site.

 

We have certain activities which continue throughout the year, these include Yoga, Alexander Technique, Green woodworking, Permaculture training, Pottery, Varda construction, Organic vegetable production in the coppice orchard, Beekeeping, Cider making, Apple juice production. We can also offer some coastal sailing with a 3 place racing dinghy and a 6 place sailing dinghy available.

 

For meetings and conferences we can provide videocassette and DVD players with large televisions these can also be run from computers, broadband computer connections, Videoconferencing, Public address system. We can also make available a range of musical instruments such as a piano, guitars, diatonic accordians, saxophones etc.
